Hi! I’m Kya
I have just graduated with my MFA in Acting from the University of California, San Diego. I'm a very proud Brooklyn girl —who has secretly become a SoCal convert- after graduating Suma Cum laude from Pomona College with dual degrees in Clinical Neuropsychology and Theatre.
Offstage, I am an educator at UCSD, teaching Public Speaking and Acting courses to talented undergraduates. I freelance as a teaching artist offering instruction in acting, public speaking, dance, and audition prep.
Most importantly, I am a dog mom who loves eating out at a new restaurant as much as making family recipes, and can always be found close to the dance floor.
Please reach out if you'd like to learn more!

Babbitt- World Premiere
Directed by Chris Ashley
Multi-award-winning star of stage and screen Matthew Broderick and Tony Award-winning playwright Joe DiPietro (Diana, Memphis) join forces with Christopher Ashley and a stellar cast for this remarkable theatrical event.
George F. Babbitt is a middle-aged real estate broker in the Midwestern city of Zenith. Searching for more to life than his top-of-the-line toaster and hickory golf club ― more meaning ― Babbitt leaps with abandon into the most spectacular rebellion of his life ― one that could end up costing him everything.
Thicker Than - World Premiere
Directed by Lamar Perry
Set in a not-too-distant future where a new kind of technology exists that allows anyone to emotionally "uncouple" from anyone in their lives, Thicker Than… asks what it means to cut off ties with a loved one and move on with your life. Can you ever truly walk away?
Bunny Bunny- World Premiere
Directed by Raja Feather Kelly
This project dissects Power, Greed, Fear, Betrayal, and Love. By appropriating reality television, culture, and social media, the work celebrates and criticizes popular media while creating a surreal and dystopian docu-fiction melodrama
